A San Fernando Valley burglary suspect thought it would be a great idea to evade police by hiding in an 18 inch wide storm drain under a busy freeway for 12 long hours! He survived several blasts of tear gas, a police dog, a make-shift plunger, and firefighters and he even seemed to manage to get cell phone coverage 30 feet underground to call his girlfriend so we have to give him some props for his perseverance. But was the copper wire he was trying to steal really worth all that trouble? Deputy Police Chief Michel Moore said. "We applied tear gas on more than one occasion," Moore said. "We stopped because we thought he'd suffocate to death. Just the way he resisted the tear gas was amazing! When he was asked why he would not come out." He said "'Cause I hate leaving my freedom." Dude, you’re in a storm drain, are you really free? Couldn’t that kind of commitment and passion be better used as a storm drain cleaner? YOU Fuckin’ Loser!
